This piece is an investigation into the everyday landscape. The forms reference the common plants in the fall and are rendered in a fast, direct way, capturing the idea of a sketch. For me the piece allows me to engage in play with the multiple parts, as well as investigate the idea of formalized environments like dioramas and tapestries. Each piece is an individual still life that has the potential to be a part of a larger whole. The white series of forms sit next to one with subtle color, like a play on the ever changing environment around us.
